Doggies dominate Australian selection

The Bulldogs will once again be greatly represented in the green and gold, after recent national women’s squad announcements.

An incredible seven women have been named to the Australian Women’s roster to compete at the World Championships in the US in July.

Steph Kelly, Bec Lane, Georgia Latch, Theodora Kwas, Sarah Smith, and Bonnie Yu have been named in the final squad, with Sarah Mollison named as an alternate.

Lane, Latch, Kwas, Mollison, Smith and Yu have also been named in the squad to compete at The World Games in Birmingham in July as well.

Paige MacGibbon has also been selected in the the U23 Women’s Touring Team that will compete in the Vail Lacrosse Shootout in Vail, Colorado before heading to the World Festival in Towson, Maryland.

The team will also have the opportunity to attend all days of the 2022 World Lacrosse Women’s World Championship.

Congratulations to all selected players, as well as those who narrowly missed out on selection. To have so many FLC players competing at the elite level and pushing for selection shows the amazing people we have at our club.
